Like with any service the most important thing is the people providing it, in the case of the Beechwood Smile Centre they excel as a team.
Cancellation
If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice.
Missed hygiene appointments will incur a charge of £42.
Attendance Policy and NHS Registration Lapse
There is an expectation that NHS patients attend the practice at regular intervals, usually every six months as per NICE guidelines. The recommendation to have an oral examination is a key message in preventative dentistry. Research shows that long-term attendance has a positive impact on oral health in general, contributing to increased oral health-related quality of life while decreasing tooth loss and caries rates.
Due to unprecedented NHS demand, we are currently at full capacity. In light of this, we advise our existing patients that if they fail to attend two or more appointments or cancel at short notice (less than 24 hours) we reserve the right to de-register them, without notification, from our NHS patient list.
Additionally, our patient list will be reviewed regularly and when patients have not attended for a routine check-up in the last 36 months this will result in their de-registration, without notification, from the practice.
We would like to thank you for your support and look forward to providing you with continuing NHS Dental Care.
